How Quick Deals Today Reviews an Offer

Workspace for finding online deals

A deals site is only worth reading if you can trust the deals. Here is exactly what happens to an offer between the moment we find it and the moment it appears on Quick Deals Today — and just as importantly, what gets rejected.

We publish fewer offers than we find. That is deliberate. The full checklist behind any single offer is also written up as a reader guide in how to identify a genuine online deal, so you can run the same checks yourself.

The Six Checks Every Offer Goes Through

1. Price history and cross-platform comparison

We compare the listed price against at least two other sellers of the same product, and against what the same listing cost in recent weeks. A discount is only meaningful relative to a price that actually existed. If the “was” price never appeared on the listing, we treat the percentage claim as unverified and do not repeat it.

2. Seller verification

On marketplaces, the seller behind a listing matters as much as the price. We check seller ratings and recent feedback volume, whether the seller is the brand’s authorised or retail seller, and whether identical listings from better-rated sellers exist at a similar price. Marketplace fulfilment is noted separately from third-party sellers, because it changes the return experience.

3. Coupon and code testing

Where a coupon code is involved, we test it to the point where the discount is applied in the cart. Codes that fail, codes that only work on first orders, and codes with minimum-cart conditions are labelled as such rather than presented as a flat saving. If we cannot test a code — for example a user-specific or app-only offer — we say so in the post instead of implying we verified it.

4. The fine print: delivery, returns and warranty

A price is not the full cost. We look at shipping charges, delivery timeframes for your region, the return window and who pays for return pickup, and whether the product carries a valid India warranty with a clear registration route. Offers where the effective cost rises sharply at checkout are either corrected or dropped.

5. Product and review red flags

We scan buyer feedback for recurring defects, size and specification mismatches, and packaging or counterfeit complaints. A pattern of “not as described” reports is enough to kill an otherwise good-looking price. We also check whether the specification on the listing matches the manufacturer’s published spec.

6. Disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy through them. This is stated openly, and it never changes what we publish: commission rates do not influence whether an offer passes the checks above. Our full policy is on the Disclaimer page.

What Gets an Offer Rejected

  • An inflated base price that makes the discount badge meaningless.
  • A seller with weak recent feedback, or no verifiable service history.
  • A coupon we could not apply, where the saving depends entirely on that coupon.
  • No return window, or return terms that transfer most of the risk to the buyer.
  • Recurring buyer reports of counterfeit or mis-described goods.
  • Stock so limited that the offer is effectively unavailable to readers.

How Long a Deal Stays Live

Deals expire, and a stale deal is worse than no deal. Offers with a stated end date are reviewed at that date and removed or updated. Offers without a stated end date are re-checked periodically; when a price moves back up, we update the post rather than leave a misleading claim in place. If you find an offer on this site that no longer works, tell us through the contact page and we will verify and correct it.

What We Are Honest About Not Doing

We do not physically test every product we cover — that would be dishonest to claim. What we verify is the offer: the price, the seller, the terms and the credibility of the product’s reputation. Where our verification is limited, for example on user-specific or app-only offers, the post says so plainly. We would rather under-promise than publish something that sounds better than what we actually checked.

FAQs

Do you get paid by the brands you feature?

Some outbound links are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Brands do not pay for placement, do not review posts before publication, and cannot remove a criticism. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on the Disclaimer page.

How quickly do you remove an expired deal?

Offers with a stated end date are handled on that date. Reader-reported expiries are re-checked and corrected as soon as we can verify them.

Can I submit a deal for review?

Yes. Send it through the contact page with the link and the price you saw. If it clears the six checks above, we will cover it.
